Lomond Library

Students build popsicle stick structures on the floor of the library

Welcome to the
Lomond library!

In the library, students can explore books and resources that foster enjoyment, inclusion, individuality and lifelong learning.

Our professional teacher-librarians follow standards from the Ohio Library Guidelines for Learners, and the American Association of School Libraries Standards Framework for Learners while supporting the curriculum framework of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.  These practices help establish the library as a hub of learning for the entire school community.

We look forward to sharing our enthusiasm for reading with students as they continue to learn and grow!

Meet Our LIbrary Staff

Teacher-Librarian

Mrs. Mary Ann Durkalski

Portrait of Mary Ann Durkalski

Welcome to the library! My name is Mrs. Durkalski and I teach classes about books and authors. I also teach students to become good inquirers. All students learn how to find and use information in the library and on the Internet. I also know how to find exactly the right book for each student to read. I work with teachers to make sure the library has resources to help students achieve.
